Level 1: Mat & Foundation is the starting block of the ME Pilates Institute Teacher Training Program (MPI-TTP). Led by founders Palak Sharma and Arya Tyagi, this course establishes your grasp of classical Mat exercises, anatomical mechanics, and professional verbal cueing.
Course Details & Curriculum
What's Covered:
History of Joseph Pilates, 34 classical Mat exercises, core powerhouse anatomy, pelvic stabilization, and beginner posture modification strategies.
Prerequisites:
At least 10 hours of personal Mat Pilates practice and a basic interest in anatomy. No prior teaching experience required.
Career Outcomes:
Upon completion, you will be certified to lead group and private Classical Mat Pilates sessions and qualify to register for Level 2 apparatus training.
Next Steps in MPI-TTP:
Level 1 provides the core alignment concepts that you will apply to the springs and pulleys of the Reformer, Cadillac, and Wunda Chair in Level 2.
